The exploration of what is found underneath with the objects we are surrounded by everyday. With curiosity towards what is above the mattress of our bed. Bed is an object we meet everyday when we need to rest. Bed supports us in our dreams and our nightmares, where we also spend most of our lives there, asleep.
Curiosity what is behind and underneath that simplistic yet strange constructed object. In the collage it’s seen the bed frame with the box spring, next to it is a smaller version of the mattress that is not made for that bed. The exploration goes further when the attachment of layers of the walls is present.
The black and white layered frames are the layers of the walls we meet everyday. In our day to day we don’t see the layers of what the walls consist of, we just see the final product. Behind the walls there are several layers such as plywood or gypsum board (which acts as a foundation for another material) thermal/air layer,exterior layer, and interior layer. Just like the construct of the bed, the wall is left for us for a purpose to define an area.
