Maya Golyshkina is a Russian visual artist and performer based in London. Despite her young age (she is currently 20 y-o), over the past years, Golyshkina has developed a uniquely expressive language, brilliantly poignant and ironic, using her presence as a catalyst for intimate revelations and presenting unusual combinations of found objects to depict contemporary oddities and clichés in sensually subversive ways. Functioning almost as MacGuffins of an ever-happening and widespread fiction, her performative shots trigger a reversal of contemporary aesthetics, while being closely intertwined with them. Standing amidst sculptures and costumes, her provocative designs led her to collaborate with fashion brands such as Marc Jacobs and Balenciaga.

PS could stand for ‘party synthetic’, ‘personal statement’, ‘please silence’, ‘psss’, ‘post scriptum’ or whatever just came to your mind. We choose post scriptum out of infinite descriptive possibilities as it possibly embodies them all. P.s: an interview or a rebus? a composition of portraits and wiretaps? a map of hints suggesting a wide web of interpretations.
